Murcia, March 11, 2009 .- In the story that appeared today in a regional media in stating that the Government Delegation in Murcia rejected the Chinese Garden project, submitted by the city of Murcia with the Funds Local government investment, it states:
At no time did the Government Office has rejected the project of remodeling the Chinese Garden presented by the City of Murcia against these funds.
Proof of this is that the Ministry of Public Administration gave its approval to the same, issue its final approval on the website www.map.es on Jan. 12, a fact that has remained intact so far.
However, the city of Murcia was warned by this delegation to present the first draft of the Chinese Garden, thinking it would not be affordable in accordance with the provisions of Royal Decree Law regulating state funds, which expressly states that may receive funding only those new work plan, with no financing.
Therefore, the City Council amended the original plan specifying a new area of operation in the same garden and presenting rigorous certification of compliance with Royal Decree Law by the councilman-secretary of the Board of Governors and of the City Clerk.
In these circumstances the project was accepted by both the Government Office and definitively by the Ministry of Public Administration.
Because of this, the information disseminated about the renunciation of the project to remodel the Chinese Garden with funds provided by the State of 395,649.97 euros, not only has caused surprise in this Delegation of the Government, but also , consider a very irresponsible of the City cause the loss of such investment in the municipality of Murcia, despite the warnings given.
