Press release issued by the Delegation of the Government:
In relation to public statements made to various media by the Health Councillor of the Municipality of Murcia, Fulgencio Cervantes, in connection with a rally in front of his home, and since it seems not to understand the mechanisms that regulate the right of citizens to mobilize The Government Office considers necessary to clarify some points that people have superior knowledge which seems to Mr. Councilman.
1 .- In our democratic system demonstrations and gatherings are not permitted, based on the provisions of Article 21 of the Spanish Constitution states that "the right to assemble peacefully and without arms, shall not require prior authorization, and much least because whether you like or not a council member or if they seem good or bad for the Government Office.
2 .- In the written communication to the concentration indicated the place where it was to do the same, and who do not live there.
3 .- As in all cases, the Delegation of the Government requested the mandatory report to the City of Murcia on the state where it was intended to hold this assembly, concurrently with other acts and the security of the sites under current regulations.
4 .- In the said City Council did not issue any report, so it means PRO, in accordance with Article 9.2 of the Organic Act 9 / 1999, dated April 21, amending the Organic Law 9 / 1983 of 15 July, governing the right of assembly.
