Murcia City Council allocated € 40,000 to a program to support and care to some 40 families (about 200) in special situations with social problems and in a situation multiproblem.
The program includes family education and care to disadvantaged families at risk, family support and parent guidance and family counseling.
This project is carried out in the neighborhoods of La Paz and Fame, The Holy Spirit (Espinardo), Los Rosales (El Palmar) and other neighborhoods and districts that their characteristics so require.
A multidisciplinary team meets the needs of users from Monday to Friday, excluding holidays and some weekends.
In working with these households mainly promotes the incorporation of families gradually to the use of various resources and services and educate family members to acquire useful habits and skills for living, promote training social skills and enable the positive use of leisure time and resources of the area.
Also inadequate family structures change, educate members in areas such as health and hygiene, food, medicine, household economy, household organization, etc.
Improving the social integration of these people and promotes personal autonomy and job placement.
