The rector of the University of Murcia, José Antonio Cobacho, today described as "great loss" for the institution of the death of Professor Joseph Perona, who died early yesterday at a hospital in this city.
Perona Jose Sanchez, a native of Teatinos (Cuenca), was for decades a professor of Spanish Language at the University of Murcia, institution that also took several charges, including the director of the Publications Service.
Romance Philology graduate, doctorate with a thesis on "The influence of Nietzsche and Schopenhauer in the Generation of 98."
The rector of the University of Murcia said today at the news of his death, "Our institution has lost one of its most outstanding and a great value."
Sánchez Perona's funeral will be held tomorrow at 11:00 am at the funeral of Jesus, in the hamlet of Espinardo Murcia.
