Tourism Qualification Center today hosted the presentation of the course "Sommelier CST.
National Knowledge ", which will last 135 hours and will be given until 1 July in the rooms and facilities of the center.
This training, organized in collaboration with the Association of Sommeliers Murcia, aims to equip students with the tools necessary to function in such a professional specialty, creating a bag of specialists able to meet industry expectations.
To do this, you will have experience of 22 restaurateurs in the region that address topics such as viticulture, ampelography, winemaking, tasting and food pairing, cellar management and sales techniques.
Moreover, as a complementary activity, participants will have the opportunity to visit and meet the three designations of origin with which our region has: Bullas, Yecla and Jumilla.
Among teachers will María José Fernández, technical director of the Farm Winery and Bullas Lagares, Rafael Moreno, sales manager of the Bodega Omblancas of Jumilla, Francisco Martínez, a professor at the Polytechnic School of Orihuela, Yolanda Morales, Doctor's Hospital Arrixaca virgin, Juan Luis Garcia, president of the Association of Sommeliers Murcia, Eloy Sánchez, winemaker at Casa de la Ermita Jumilla, and Pedro Martínez, winner of Golden Nose 2001.
This course, Level I, born with the aim of continuity, so that the Ministry of Culture and Tourism is planning to launch a second part designed to introduce technology advanced and even deeper into content.
Thus, with the development of this seminar, the CST continues its educational work, supporting the qualifications of professionals and strengthened since its foundation in hospitality and tourism activity in the region.
