The Ministry of Culture and Tourism, through the General Directorate of Books, Archives and Libraries has acquired a batch of letters, two planes and a census book of great interest to the history of Murcia.
This is a set of documents highlighting the agrarian struggles in the garden of Murcia, and full documentation on this subject already in the Archives, especially 'juntamento notarial records of the heirs of the Acequia de Beniaján in the garden of Murcia, in adopting the ordinances of the irrigation ditch ', for the year 1474.
Specifically, letters and drawings revolve around the abuse simultaneous irrigation, from ditches and Beniaján Turbedal of land belonging to the family peace.
To this is opposed by irrigators in the area and acting head of the family lawsuit Saavedra (Barony of Albalat).
The correspondence between Madrid-Murcia, dated September 5 to December 12, 1780, is mainly between Paz and José Maria Prieto and his manager Bernardino de Castro, and José Maria Paz Saavedra Joseph, Baron de Alba.
The two planes are the year 1780, are drawn in color and correspond to each of the parties in conflict.
