The Plenum of the City of Murcia has unanimously approved a joint motion to celebrate Women's Day, on 8 March.
In essence, this motion seeks the Consistory continue working in the pursuit of equality between men and women, thus contributing to the implementation of the Act on Equality between men and women and the Measures for Protection from violence gender.
To do this, you will create a Municipal Commission for Equality to encourage the participation of women's federations and associations, you realize the Advisory Council of the measures taken in respect of equality and receiving information from the Advisory Council itself.
Also, will take place the following measures
Promote and enable the incorporation of gender perspective into all policies, programs and actions developed from the Local Government, carrying out the agreement of political will to implement gender mainstreaming signed by all municipalities and regional government, through the Ministry of Social Policy, Women and Migration.
Developing new interventions and programs that promote awareness and shape of real equality between women and men.
Promote co-education as a tool for breaking gender stereotypes in education, through training programs for teachers as well as seeking the involvement of parents associations in this field representatives.
Promoted through new services and resources, reconciliation of work, family and staff.
Spread through awareness and training activities, the responsibility between women and men, as a tool to promote equal opportunities.
