Urban corruption in Spain from the perspective of the problems of checking the integrity of public officials is the subject of study by a research project carried out in the University of Murcia and is supported by the Ministry of Science and Innovation.
The researchers based on the assumption that the institutional framework that has been carried out planning policy in Spain to the Land Law of 2007 has created incentives for corruption.
The study aims to analyze the legal and institutional framework, the way they operate and interact with networks of actors involved in these policies and functioning of institutional mechanisms of control.
This investigation will be conducted by the research group Policy Analysis, whose principal investigator is Fernando Jiménez Sánchez.
