Almost thirty specialists, including teachers at the University of Murcia and lawyers of the Regional Assembly and Regional Legal Counsel, intervened in the book "Law of the Autonomous Region of Murcia, which was presented today during a ceremony developed in the Faculty of Law, on the campus of Merced.
One of the coordinators of the work, Professor Luis Gálvez, said that it is the fruit of a long and laborious process that has lasted two years.
Also said he has tried to get a useful work, "fleeing a speculative legal science."
The other coordinator, Professor Emeritus at the University José Antonio López Pellicer, spoke about the contents of the book and its authors, while the president of the Law Council, Mariano García Canales, said the book is the combined efforts of the University of the Presidential and the organ he presides.
Canales Garcia stressed the importance of autonomous law and that "no student should leave this College without knowing."
The Minister of Presidency, Pedro María Reverte, congratulated the authors, adding that since 1982 there has been a major legislative development in the Region of Murcia.
Also announced that the Community is currently working on the text that will replace the Regional Law of the Civil Service.
Closed the ceremony the Rector of the University, José Antonio Cobacho, who indicated that, after thirty years of autonomy in Spain, the state derived from it requires an interpretation, thus contributing to books such as the one presented today.
The ceremony was also attended other academic positions, including vice provost for International Relations and Communication, Maria Angeles Esteban, the president of the Superior Court of Justice, Juan Martínez Moya, and the regional secretary of the PSOE, Pedro Saura.
