Laboratorio de Arte Joven, LAB, hosts from Friday (at 20:30) until March 20, the exhibition 'Suggested Reality' of David Murcia, which includes a display of paintings in which the author reflects on psychological and emotional aspects of the body.
Through a series of images, the artist is seeking an individual who is representing himself, as if in front of a mirror that is impregnated with the images and time slows.
This is a work which represents the body in a firm way, full of characters thinned, as if engaged in unusual dancing robots, isolated and burlesque, but with a meaning that David Murcia expressed from their own subjective experience.
The exhibition consists of eight large-format works in monochromatic shades of the skin where the compositions show images of the same character that multiplies in different bodies to become expanded and superimposed.
After the inauguration, the LAB will host the second session of the series of disc jockeys LABsonora, with the participation of 'Tula You put' and 'Trash on the Moon'.
The first performance will begin with classic songs of the new wave of the eighties, who 'Tula You put' mixed with current issues in electronic, pop and artpop hedonistic.
The disc jockey has participated in festivals like 'Other Worlds Pop' (Lion), 'CatFigth' (Lotus Theatre - Barcelona) and has collaborated with many avant-garde clubs in Madrid, Barcelona, Tarragona, Burgos, among others.
'Trash on the Moon', with Sarah and Lorraine, bring to the Friday night music of the nineties, noise and brit pop.
His sessions are a result eclectic fusion of various styles of yesterday and today and have led to ballrooms and Screw Latex Club, Piccadilly, Flow, Screw, Valencia, as well as Mojo Club of Xativa and the mythical Spiral Pop Madrid club
