The women of Santa Eulalia and San Juan have at their disposal a new municipal center opened this morning by the Mayor, Miguel Ángel Cámara, in an act that has also had the assistance of the Deputy Mayor of Social Welfare and Equality Policies Maria del Carmen Pelegrin, president of the Municipal Board, Isabel Monreal, and the president of the Association, Enriqueta Navarro.
The commissioning of these units is the fulfillment of a pledge it made the mayor, Miguel Ángel Cámara, with associates, who said that the City could make available infrastructure.
The difficulties have had to overcome to find a location suitable for this purpose in the heart of the city have been many, but have been unsuccessful and has now been possible to open the center.
So far, the members had been using for its activities the headquarters of the Municipal District.
The new store has 140 square meters, an area where it has set up a multipurpose room, gym and office.
The association of women from Santa Eulalia and San Juan has now with 170 members, which this year will have at its disposal the ability to participate in an English course (50 hours) or new technologies and a seminar on preventive physiotherapy "healthy posture."
In 2008 the training offered by the center allowed the members to attend courses for beginners and DIY computer, a nutrition workshop and talks on regional products.
The training offer is complemented by sports and leisure activities, cultural and outreach that the Department of Social Welfare centers designed for women of the village.
In the case of the association of Santa Eulalia and San Juan, the attending members of fitness classes, cultural tours, visits to museums and exhibitions and lectures.
