To mark the 37 anniversary of the opening of the Center for Senior Day Murcia I, the Minister of Social Policy, Women and Migration, Joaquín Bascuñana, today visited the facilities, which the Department allocated 311,393 euros last year to carry number of improvements.
That investment has allowed the renewal of the installation of air conditioning and rehabilitation center with paint, facade cleaning, replacement of windows and furniture, renovation of the kitchen-bar and buying a pool table and the new equipment for podiatry and hairdressing.
The center is situated on the Paseo Marques de Corvera, in the district of Carmen de la capital, and budget for this year is 91,560 euros, an amount with which he carried out various occupational, recreational, educational and cultural health.
Thus, the 22,510 registered members will participate in workshops on embroidery, crafts and paintings, bowls, regional dances and classroom Internet, as well as trips and excursions, dances, games, sports tournaments, parties, rondalla, coral, book club conferences, or gym activities, training in memory, relaxation, self esteem, laughter therapy and nutrition.
In the center were given also courses on the prevention of dependency and family caregivers of dependent people.
