The Governing Council agreed at its meeting today, transfer to Murcia Cultural corporation, attached to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, a total of 4,580,313 euros for the contributions entered in favor of this organism in the Budget Murcia Region and regional actions will be allocated to cultural promotion.
In particular, the transfer is intended for the programming of the Auditorium and Congress Center 'Victor Villegas', and the series 'Grand Concert', the dance series and other special activities.
Among the novelties of this exercise is the programming cycle 2009-2010 opera season, which begins soon.
This is the first time you can hear this music in the regional Auditorium.
Also funded initiatives to promote theater, music and dance directed to municipalities through the network of theaters and auditoriums and cultural promotion campaigns.
Thus, many actions taking place in the municipalities have the financial support of the regional administration.
This funding also will cover the activities of the Youth Orchestra of Murcia and the continuity of specific cycles as the Early Music in the church museum of San Juan de Dios, the Organ Historical Region of Murcia and the series 'Echoes' of classical music in the municipalities of the Region.
