Held at the University of Murcia Congress in Statistics and Operations Research (09/02/2009)

Recent advances in Statistics and Operations Research will be examined at the XXXI National Congress which opens tomorrow, 10 in the auditorium of the University of Murcia, Campus de la Merced.

This Congress, which coincides with the V Conference on Public Statistics, will facilitate the meeting of researchers, teachers and users of these materials.

Among the invited speakers are Falorsi Stefano, the National Statistics Institute of Italy, Arturo Kohatsu, University of Osaka (Japan), and Eyal Winter University of Jerusalem (Israel).

At the opening ceremony, which will begin at 10 am, attended by the rector of the University of Murcia, José Antonio Cobacho, director general of Economy and Planning of the Autonomous Community, Esther Ortiz, and the presidents of the Congress Organizing Committee and teachers University of Murcia and Felix Blas Pelegrin Belz.
