500,000 euros Basketball Club Murcia for their participation in national competitions (06/02/2009)

The Governing Council has approved a grant of 500,000 euros Basketball Club Murcia, SAD, to defray the costs of their participation in national competitions in 2009 and for the promotion of this sport in the region.

The objective of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, through this economic contribution is to support a sport of great interest in the region and acts in society as an educational tool.

Basketball is one of the sports that most fans and athletes fall into the region.
