Councilman Festivals and Popular Culture, Rafael Gomez, has interviewed the organizer of the event of Tunas del Barrio del Carmen, Carlos Molina, to prepare for this festival which is celebrated in the month of July, coinciding with the celebrations of the Barrio del Carmen .

In addition, the organizers of this popular event have recently moved to Madrid Tourism Fair (FITUR) to manage the presence of international groups of tunas in the Barrio del Carmen Contest.
