The director general of Tourism, Angel Campos, today introduced the series 'Kitchens of the World', a series of specialized courses in one day to teach professionals in the hospitality sector the culinary art of different countries, deepening in recipes in modes of production of some of the world's most exotic dishes.
Thus, Qualification Center Tourism (CCT) is expanding its offering refresher courses for working professionals who will now have the opportunity to promote greater automation of their abilities.
These days, students will have the option to acquire an overview of international cuisine, making a tour of gastronomic varieties as diverse as Asian delicacies, Argentina meat, sushi or pasta.
As the year progresses it is expected to make a total of nine days, all taught on the premises of the CST.
The first, relating to Indian cuisine, will take place on February 9 and will be given by Punit Gupta, head of India Cuisine Restaurant of La Manga Club and a former chef of Hyatt Regency Delhi.
During the day, there will be a demonstration that will be prepared, among other dishes, chicken curry, yellow lentils and chickpeas flour tortilla.
The second day, focusing on Asian cuisine, will take place on February 23 and will be responsible for Paiman Paiman, head of Asian Cuisine Restaurant of La Manga Club.
This session will draw live exotic dishes such as shrimp soup flavored with lemon tea or type Hananese chicken rice, served with ginger rice and broth.
The remaining days are allocated as follows.
The French cooking seminar will be held on March 9, Italian cuisine on March 26, Japan on April 27, Mexican cuisine on 11 May, the Scandinavian cuisine on 25 May, the Greek on 21 September Argentina on 19 September.
In this regard, Campos said, "The choice of countries was made according to criteria of popularity, taking into account the requests from the business sector.
He also stated that the lists are still open and does not preclude the addition of some other country. "
He also recalled that this action falls within the Tourism Development Plan for the Region of Murcia, which aims to train professionals, giving them extra skills that enable them to improve quality within their workplace.
