The Minister of Social Policy, Women and Migration, Joaquín Bascuñana today opened the new Child Care Centre (ISC) 'The Granaos', located in the town of El Bojal, in the hamlet of Beniaján Murcia, and for which the Community Autonomous has provided 500,000 euros of the total budget, which is 1,600,000 euros.
The new center is built on a plot donated by the city of Murcia of 3,439 meters square.
The CAI has a total of 146 seats of which 100 are occupied, and has 10 classrooms, including two babies from four to twelve months, four children from one to two years and four children from two to three years.
Hours are 7:30 am to 20:00 pm, with morning and afternoon shifts.
Also conducted activities aimed at children over three years as playgrounds and workshops.
Cooperative Society 'Los Granaos' is the owner of the center, participates in the 'Pequecheque', launched by the Ministry of Social Policy, Women and Migration.
To date, the number of places supported by the Autonomous Region amounted to 7,614, of which 2,640 are for 2006, 2877 to 2007 and 1801 of open competition in 2008.
The rest is completed as follows: 13 financed by the State, 242 direct grant Lorca and 41 with the Ministry of Defence to CAI Air Base Sewer.
Of these, the number of seats in service today is 2,831.
The 7,614 subsidized places during the period 2006-2008 amount to an investment of 39,453,766 euros, while for the current year the Ministry has a budget of 2,310,421 euros, of which 1,700,000 are for the construction, remodeling and equipping of childcare by local governments (1,200,000), NGOs (250,000) and businesses (250,000).
The remaining $ 610,421 are also building schools in the region.
In the Murcia town has subsidized a total of 17 centers, of which seven are in operation, which involved an investment of 6,701,829 euros, which has financed 1,728 seats, of which 692 are already in service.
