The research group 'Psychology and sports injuries' from
Universidad Católica San Antonio (UCAM) obtained
recently the grant of a research project in
Chair call Real Madrid, framed by the University
Europea de Madrid.
The research project 'Programs
psychological training in athletes: impact on
lesions and perceived psychological well-being 'that
be developed during 2008-2009, has been welcomed
positively by both parties.
The research team is led by Dr. Aurelio Olmedilla,
and formed by two professors at the UCAM, Dr. Francisco
Esparza of the Department of Sports Traumatology, and Dr. Enrique
Ortega, deputy director of Department of Science and Physical Activity
Sport (CAFD).
The research group also includes, among other experts, the
Professor Professor of National Institute of Physics Equation of Catalonia
(INEFC) in Lleida, Dr. Joan Palmi, and the program manager
after KT's Sports Psychology Institute of Psychology
Aplicada (ISPA) in Lisbon, Pedro Almeida.
According to Aurelio Olmedilla "the general aim of the project is
implement programs of psychological intervention in young players
Region of Murcia, to determine the differential effectiveness of each
programs in relation to the incidence of injuries and welfare
perceived psychological.
