The Minister of Culture and Tourism, Pedro Alberto Cruz, this morning the programming of Youth Art Laboratory (LAB) for the first quarter of 2009, including nearly two dozen activities, including the first cycle of disc jockeys, 'LABsonora'.
Also attending the presentation ceremony the director of the Institute for Youth, Veronica Lopez, and director of the LAB, Sergio Porlán.
The LAB, which celebrates its first year of operation, has organized for the next four months, a total of thirteen workshops, two exhibitions and a series of disc jockeys.
On the first anniversary, Cruz said, "is difficult to grow, mature and achieve the objectives have been achieved with only a year old, but the Lab has become an essential space in the cultural fabric of the region."
For its part, the center's director said "the great reception by the public to the activities, with nearly 10,000 visitors since its launch."
Cruz explained that the LAB program "combines all the activities that the protagonists are young, the regional cultural agents, and some of the most outstanding artists of national scope."
One of the new programming is holding for the first time, 'LABsonora', a series of disc jockeys in which renowned creators of this discipline.
This cycle will be major players such as Guille Milkyway, the musical group 'La Casa Azul', and other artists from Valencia, Madrid and Murcia.
The sessions will take place on Friday 16 January until 27 March.
In the art of performance, José Luis de Vicente will give a workshop on 'Flashmob', an action organized through electronic means, in which a large group of people gathered in a public place to do something unusual and then disperses quickly.
In this course, entitled 'Inspiration distributed.
The creativity of the masses connected ', to be held on 20 and 21 January, will tour some of the most significant examples of' Flashmobbing 'and action will be taken of these features in a central square in the city of Murcia .
This action will be included in the stand of the Region of Murcia at the International Contemporary Art Fair (ARCO).
As for dance, dancer, choreographer and teacher, Mariana Rocha, give a workshop on movement and contemporary dance techniques from 23 to 27 February.
A workshop will also be integrated dance by Marisa Brugarolas.
Facilities Bernardi Roig Mallorcan artist will be studied together with Fernando Castro Flórez, at a seminar that will analyze your mounts sculpture through 'The Light Exercises', a series of works based on the symbolism of light and the metaphor of blindness and human isolation.
The course will be held from 9 to 13 March.
In painting, the course 'The brightness of the toad: Images of the worst', to be held from 1 to 3 April, will make a visual journey through the artist's work Chema Lopez, to address the various possibilities that the image has to face to different problems in life.
In photography will take place from 26 to 28 March, the workshop 'The picture built', which is structured through the knowledge of the work of Gonzalo Puch and concerns that motivate.
Puch photography is performative and sculptural works show objects, compositions and actions taken in front of the camera.
Digital technology applied to artistic creations, is the issue that will turn a course on digital audio, which will give Vicente Gómez Pons, composer and electroacoustic concert organizer.
The course, which will be held on 16, 17, 20 and 21 March, will cover the configuration of the computer as a musical instrument, recording, editing and sound synthesis as well as the creation of sound.
The workshops scheduled in the training area are translated Porlán "in a large study group to exchange experiences and knowledge of other artists."
Meetings on film, performance and exhibitions complete the program of the LAB for this semester, which begins next Friday with a joint exhibit by three artists of pop art: Tatiana Abellán, Luisa Pastor and Armando Miguélez.
