Start training for 77 new local police officers Murcia (12/01/2009)

A total of 77 future Local police officers will begin on Monday the training course to join the municipal police of Murcia.

With the addition of these new officers, the staff, which currently has a total of 577 people, will increase to 654.

Councillor Security, Nuria Fuentes, and the general director of Local Government, Javier Iniesta, inaugurated this morning the course at the offices of the Local Police Headquarters.

During her speech, titled Security has highlighted the important role it must play a municipal officer walks to the street, because it is the most direct contact with citizens.

"A local police must be fully prepared to meet any public demand, so that recycling and continuing education must be a constant throughout his professional career."

The officers have passed the prerequisites for joining the Corps will begin their preliminary investigation, consisting of two stages to complete a total of 1,000 hours.

The first, theoretical, begins on Monday January 12 and runs until late April.

Includes 500 hours of classes.

The second will be practical, since the first of May to July.

At this stage the staff will be visible on the streets of the town.

The course will be taught by experts from all areas related to safety, prosecutors, judges, police officers and officials as well as officials of the City of Murcia.

Among the subjects to be taught include those of police ethics, criminal law, procedural and administrative, municipal ordinances, traffic and circulation, human relations, toxicology and criminology, as well as civil protection, rescue and first aid and practical self-defense, shooting, car traffic court.
