Providing personalized attention to teaching young people at risk, resolve their deficiencies in technical skills and develop their integration in society and the workplace have been the priority objectives of the implementation of the Center for Integration of Youth at Risk and Empowerment Skills - Niere.
The center, located at the La Riviera, in the municipality of Cocody, belonging to Abidjan (Ivory Coast), was funded by the City of Murcia to carry out this project from Carrefour Jeunes partnerships and Development Institute Community of Murcia, whose representatives have visited the mayor of Development Cooperation, Remigio Lopez.
Over a period of two years, a total of 4,075 people benefited from the actions being carried out at the Center for Integration of Youth at Risk and Empowerment Skills, which the city of Murcia.
Besides benefiting during this period to the total population, the implementation of that center also currently have:
Running an educational structure guaranteed by the permanent presence of the team who drives the different educational programs, which resides in the built up area.
Is held by the modest fee for the participants along with the support of members of the Association Jeunes Carrefour and other financing.
Are conducting cultural programs, sports and technical: computer courses, music workshops for national integration, film workshop, sports activities, caring activities (medical appointments, and hygiene awareness in suburban bling).
Parent-child days, with more than 200 participants each time.
During these sessions, participants were divided into training workshops under the age of each one: parents, young people aged 18 to 25 years, adolescents, children.
At each workshop, taught by a moderator for an explanation of a theme tailored to the audience.
During the meeting, representatives of the Ivorian Association brought to the attention of the Development Cooperation responsible for the interest of new projects such as building a training center for human rights, peace, with the participation of lawyers that country, and also the construction of a specialized workshops for young rural entrepreneurs, in which young people can make these practices, similar to the project that the Municipality of Murcia will start from this new year in El Alto in Bolivia.
