Among the actions being carried out in the fight against climate change, the City of Murcia will sign a cooperation agreement with the Association of Environment of the Region of Murcia (EEA) for the implementation of the distinctive Energy optimization in shops in town.
The objective of this agreement, which has received approval from the Board of Governors, is to provide businesses in the municipality of Murcia a tool that allows them to measure their energy consumption, while they provide the key to reducing consumption.
It also wants to reconcile economic growth with energy consumption, in turn contributing to environmental sustainability and saving energy chapter.
The shops, the nearly 7,000 establishments that currently exist in the municipality, developed an audit of energy consumption, and once you show that it has been reduced, give the distinctive energy optimization as a sign that trade contributes to the fight climate change.
During 2009, carried out by consulting on energy efficiency, they also provide a web of self, as a support tool for data acquisition and subsequent exploitation, based on the procedure for measuring efficiency.

The cooperation agreement will be valid for two years beginning to take place next year 2009.
