The Director General for Cultural Promotion, Antonio Martínez, this morning presented the concert of Kings Youth Orchestra of the Region of Murcia (OJRM), which this year will go to benefit Oxfam Intermon.
The presentation was attended by the director of the OJRM, Virginia Martinez, Intermon Oxfam spokeswoman, Maria Jose Bataller.
The concert, entitled 'The Listener' will benefit Intermon Oxfam, "a good opportunity to link to the orchestra to social initiatives, as we did last year," Martinez said.
Proceeds from the concert will be dedicated to the project that develops Intermon Oxfam since 2007 in Sudan and that is a program of food hygiene education and construction of water wells.
The Youth Orchestra will perform pieces in this concert of works by composers such as Bernstein, Shostakovich, Bizet, Williams, Tchaikovsky and Mozart, and will feature the pampering of The Magic Circle Mime Company.
This Company of Chicago is currently considered as one of the most innovative companies worldwide.
All their shows have so far unanimous acclaim from the public and critics for its originality and shows a great deal of good entertainment.
The director of the Youth Orchestra said that this show aimed at all audiences "is an accomplice to the viewer when trying to send mime, play instruments, dance, but nothing works because you do not hear the orchestra, hence the title, listener. "
The concert will be held at the Auditorio "Victor Villegas", January 2 at 20:30, and the price of admission is $ 5, then be held on January 3 in Torre Pacheco and 4 Jan. Cehegín.
