House has indicated that the Budget 2009-amounting to 535 million euros "have been developed taking into account the current economic crisis, which has conditioned them in a very meaningful."
Despite the loss that will occur in transfers from the State, the Mayor has assured that the City "will make a major effort to continue maintaining and promoting the social and employment policies" because it is in a crisis situation "when the government must make an impact on active social policies to the elderly, women, children, disabled, etc..

Social policies, together with supporting measures to promote employment and to enable economic activity to continue to maintain, are the elements that define the City Budget next year in the opinion of the Mayor.
