Murcia City Council will launch two workshops for schoolchildren in the municipality to promote equal opportunities between men and women and training for employment.
Equal parts "Thing Two" and workshops educational and vocational guidance "Decision making" for schoolchildren in the municipality.
Directly involved 1,400 students and 50 teachers.
The first of these is part of the municipal plan of equal opportunities between men and women of the City of Murcia.
Since the area of education is considered essential to incorporate and promote actions for equal opportunities, and focus on that goal performances this project.
"Thing Two" work on the importance of equality between boys and girls, men and women, as a fundamental right, starting with everyday language and the breakdown of the myths and stereotypes underlying sexist attitudes and behaviors.
Also addressed gender violence as a problem that our society has to face and try to address issues relating to human relationships: respect for personal dignity and equality of individual rights.
-50 Workshops in total, will be held in five sessions of one hour each, between January and May 2009.
The activity will involve an investment of 13,000 euros.
For their part, "workshops of guidance and decision making" will guide the students involved in the training and employment.
Aimed at students in upper secondary education, provide alternatives in situations of school failure.
This activity will run until June 2009 and will involve an investment of 10,000 euros.
