1.2 million for the UMU increase its research staff (05/12/2008)

The Governing Council has approved a grant of EUR 1,207,000 to the University of Murcia (UMU), financed by the Ministry of Education and Science and the Autonomous Community, whose fate is to encourage the introduction and intensification of research activity within National Plan for Scientific Research, Development and Technological Innovation and Science and Technology Plan of the Region of Murcia 2007-2010.

With this assistance will finance the recruitment of teachers, researchers, Spanish or foreign, high-level and research potential of young people wishing to enter or return to the system of Spanish science and technology, in order to maximize the capacity and productivity scientists and research groups and encourage, and young talents joining the UMU.
