The University of Murcia has been represented at the academic meeting sponsored by "Casa Asia in Barcelona to discuss Asian studies in the global context and in the European context.

The meeting, attended by more than twenty universities, studied the situation of these studies and forecasts derived from the European Higher Education Area, not to mention business and economic prospects.

At the meeting, which took the president of the Asia Society in New York, Vishaka Desai, revealed that Spanish is currently the most popular foreign language in India, having moved to the French.

Murcia University was represented by the rector of International Relations and Communication, Maria Angeles Esteban.
