Miguel Pajares holds a Ph.D. in social anthropology from the University of Barcelona.
He has published numerous books and articles related to immigration.
Contributor lectured in various courses and masters, many of them related to immigration.
He is president of the Catalan Commission for Assistance to Refugees and Member of Grecs (Research Group on Control and social exclusion) of the Unviersidad of Barcelona.
Immigration was responsible for CCOO in Catalonia and member of the Immigration Advisory Board of the Catalan between 1996 and 2000.
He was president of the European Policy Committee of the Forum for Social Integration of Immigrants between 1996 and 2001.
