Murcia for two days has been the scene of the third transnational meeting of the European project 'Pro-Sto: Best practices for the development of solar thermal ordinances. "

Through this project developed under the Intelligent Energy for Europe, Murcia City Council aims to promote solar energy use by promoting the effective implementation of the obligations of solar thermal energy.

With the implementation of the project is to facilitate in the municipality of Murcia implementation of the new Technical Building Code (Royal Decree 314/2006 of March 17) as regards the requirement to install in new homes and Reformed solar thermal collectors for hot water through a municipal ordinance to develop the provisions of this Royal Decree.

The project ProStar is the third of the developed by the city of Murcia in collaboration with the Local Agency for Energy and Climate Change Murcia (ALEM) in its commitment in the Local Strategy to Combat Climate Change in the Municipality of Murcia.

The other two projects that Murcia has also acted as a host city of international meetings are the project PEPESEC: energy plans as a tool for sustainable energy development towns ", which will develop the Energy Development Plan de Murcia, and project "Pro-US: Promoting energy efficiency in public procurement" through which to develop the climate change plan of the municipality of Murcia.
