The Vice President for Business and Infrastructure of the University of Murcia has implemented a protocol for the operation of waste management program within the concept of sustainable campus.
This will be installed selective separation containers distributed by the points that generate more waste.
In hallways and common areas will be placed containers of greater volume than the previous paper, light packaging and glass, with special attention to areas that have vending machines and drinks.
In the exteriors of the buildings will be placed large containers in which waste is deposited before delivery to the appropriate manager.
With this new waste management infrastructure and the collaboration of the university, the University of Murcia wish to contribute to improving environmental management and environmental protection.
Within the same project of sustainable campus, the University has acquired for its Technical Unit ten vehicles powered by liquefied gas.
