The National Exhibition XVIII Bands concluded last Sunday with an excellent result for Murcia bands.
The Youth Musical Group Cabezo Torres took first prize in its section (the first band composed of between 71 and 90 musicians), plus you get the second prize for best band in the region.
In total, the band Murcia will pocket more than five thousand euros in prize money, plus the subsidy received for participating in this contest.
The Youth Musical Group Cabezo de Torres was imposed, according to the jury's band Jijona (Alicante), the musical group from San Clemente (Cuenca).
Moreover, in the second and third sections of the contest was no representation of Murcia bands between the winners.
On the one hand, the Board Musical Columbine "Francisco Díaz Romero" won third prize in its section and, secondly, the Musical Union of Torre Pacheco took the first prize of the bands composed of 50 musicians.
More than a thousand people have attended each of the three days of competition that this year, has been developed for the first time in the Auditorio Victor Villegas Regional.
