The government delegate in Murcia, Rafael González Tovar, has announced that the Home Office has today tendered the project of renovation and adaptation of building for the Southern District Police Station "El Carmen" in the city of Murcia.
The deadline for implementation of this project is eight months after the award, and has a base budget of EUR 930,995.60 bid, divided in 2 installments (2008 and 2009).
González Tovar stated that "as a sign of government's interest in Spain in the realization of this work, for this year already reserved the amount of 30,000 euros for the start of the implementation of this project and, of course, will be next year when making the biggest investment, with more than 900,000 euros. "
The delegate pointed out that this project of building the new police station was a personal commitment of the former officer, Angel Gonzalez, who had the support of locals, and the current delegate's own when he was councilman of the Socialist Group in the city of Murcia.
