The claim of the victims of crimes and the protection of their rights constitute the main objective of the library sponsored by the publisher of "victimale Studies, whose first issue was released today in the convalescence, home of the Rector of the University of Murcia.
The collection, said Emilio José García, founder and president of the Foundation of Victimology in the Region of Murcia, includes a total of eighty volumes, which have involved a dozen university professors and members of law enforcement authorities State Security.
The chairman of the editorial, José Luis Weddings, said that with this project we hope to help society in defending their rights violated, "while a professor at the University of Murcia and academic director, Pedro Angel Rubio, said This first volume collects the work of ten authors from different areas of knowledge.
"This collection adds Rubio, pay attention to the victims from different points of view, starting with the police, which is dedicated this first book."
He also commented that "the work puts the victim in value and tries to recover the rights they are entitled."
The volume also contains a series of recommendations to the government "to correct shortcomings and to regulate certain situations in a way we consider most successful."
The secretary general of the Ministry of the Presidency, José Gabriel Ruiz, said that dealing with victims of crimes and protect "is an obligation contained not only the Constitution but also in our Statute of Autonomy."
The rector of the University, José Antonio Cobacho, recalled the establishment of criminology studies at this institution, adding that the collection presented "responds to a social demand."
The event was attended, among other authorities, the Vice Chancellor of Institutional Relations, Manuel Vidal, Secretary General of the University, José Fulgencio Narrow, and the prosecutor and chairman of the Committee on Justice and Security of the Regional Assembly, Manuel Campos.
