The Directorate General of Telecommunications and Information Society of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, organized with Fundetec (Infotecnológico Development Foundation Business and Citizens) National Workshop on Technologies applied to the retail sector, which will take place Nov. 13 in Murcia.
The event was presented today at a press conference by the director general of Telecommunications, Pedro Diego Garcia, the director general of Trade and Crafts, Julio José Lorenzo and Fundetec general director, Alfonso Arbaugh.
During the presentation, Garcia explained that the purpose of this workshop is that the regional coal companies know how to trade the implementation of certain tools of the Information Technology and Communication (ICT), Internet, mobility, etc. have served to make a qualitative leap to these companies, making them a success against its competition. "
The celebration of this day is part of the axis of actions aimed at business development plan of the Information Society "whose main challenge is to advance the implementation of ICT in enterprises, especially SMEs and micro-SMEs, enabling them to take a vital competitive tool in economic times like the present. "
Workshop Content
This event aims to analyze the current situation of the sector in relation to the availability and use of technologies as well as the existence in the market-specific solutions that improve productivity and competitiveness of these companies.
The workshop will bring together public and private sector and professional associations, technology providers and managers of SMEs involved in trade.
During the inauguration of the workshop will present the report "Diagnostic technology retail sector ', drawn from 500 surveys of many SMEs and professionals.
This should serve as a starting point for a more thorough analysis of all wants, needs, technology applications and success stories of enterprises in this sector.
Also cover areas such as efficient management of Point of Sale, the maximization of profit for trade, technology strategies to drive the business, the benefits of mobile technology-based applications for commerce, etc.
