Scottish choreographer Colette Sadler dance teach a course on 'performative' from 3 to 7 November at the Young Art Laboratory (LAB).
For five days, from 18.00 to 20.30, and the company Jara Serrano artist based in Berlin, Sadler will explore the relationship established between the everyday objects and actions in order to establish a strategy for the different forms perception and construction of everyday life through the language of 'performance'.
LAB will become these days in a great continent of modern dance experimentation.
This course is designed for dancers and young people between 15 and 30 years interested in dance and performance.
This workshop takes as its starting point the themes developed in the latest creation of the Scottish artist, 'The Making of Doubt'.
The work as a choreographer of Sadler reflects a conceptually driven work that combines language, dance and interdisciplinary performative practices.
The choreographer Colette Sadler (Glasgow, Scotland 1974) studied classical ballet and obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts and Performing Arts at the Laban Centre in London.
From 1995 to 2002 he worked as a professional dancer in various international dance companies.
In 2002, he created his own company 'Stammer Productions', which begins with research work in the field of contemporary dance.
In 2003 he received the Creative Scotland Prize Award and named artist in residence at Le Cite Internationale Des Arts Paris.
From 2005, after being invited as a speaker at the Contemporary Art Awards 'New Becks Futures' their work is co-produced by 'Tramway', an area of contemporary art and the Scottish city of Glasgow.
Among his latest works include "Another Dumy myself '(2006) and' The Making of Doubt '(2008) pieces that have been presented in various European cities.
