Three students of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Murcia have won the first contest for Food Innovation with a drink of milk and lemon juice.
This is Ana Maria Paterna, Silvia Rovira and Ana María Sánchez, who have managed to triumph in the competition held in Paris in the International Agribusiness Exhibition.
The product won the contest, which is named "Curdylemon" is an elaborate innovative "extraordinary nutritional and organoleptic properties, all natural and healthy," indicated by the students.
"It is a nutritious beverage that contains natural ingredients, proteins, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins and others, and, with his natural lemon flavoring, has a very nice texture," they added.
The three students from the University of Murcia won this award, known as "Trophelia Europe 2008", in competition with students from Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy and Slovenia.
The winners have been directed in their work by teachers and Eduardo José Laencina Ferrandini, the Food Technology Area, University of Murcia.
