The president said that "we are making a great effort on the part of the agricultural sector, to keep labor and adding new employees, as are the large power plant of the European Union."
"We have supported, defended and valued agriculture as a strategic pillar of our economic system, seeking to respond to the needs expressed and reflect as far as possible, to requests from farmers," said Valcarcel, who also stressed that "agriculture in Murcia is the most modernized and high-quality and most competitive of all Spanish regions."
