Professor, University of Murcia Alfonso Garcia said today that stigma and blaming immigrants "are laying the groundwork" for the outbreak of conflict between cultures as occurred recently in the district of Los Rosales, in the hamlet of El Palmar.
García, president of the Organizing Committee of the International Congress on Intercultural Dialogue will be opened tomorrow, day 22 in the auditorium of the University, said he sees with "concern" the immigrant ghettos that are occurring in several areas of Murcia.
For this professor, "the institutional responses that gives Europe the immigration is wrong, because, far from encouraging integration, they achieve is to blame immigrants for every problem."

For its part, María Jesús Lacárcel, president of the Volunteers Platform Murcia, which is also involved in organizing the meeting, noted that much remains to be done in the field of awareness in society about these issues.
The presentation of the Congress, held today in the building of Convalescence, was also a professor at the Faculty of Education Escarbajal Andrew, who said the person who is denied their rights is also felt free to assume any obligation.
This International Congress will be inaugurated tomorrow at 9.30 am by the rector, José Antonio Cobacho, and the Municipal Council of Fulgencio Murcia Cervantes.
Throughout the three days that will be developed will be discussed issues such as associative experiences on intercultural dialogue, intercultural dialogue in Italy and Europe and the integration policy in the Region of Murcia.
