Adopted initially Orenes Group project for the old Post Office building (21/10/2008)

The City Council initially approved the project to recover the Group Orenes old Post Office building located in Calle Pintor Villacis.

The project involves the recovery of an urban space, which will complement the Hotel Rincón de Pepe, and provide new leisure facilities in the heart of the city.

According to Clavel Arquitectos design, the Post Office building will be attached to the Hotel Rincon de Pepe by a skywalk.

The Post Office will have a geometric shape dome-shaped jewel box that changes color.

The new space will include 210 underground parking spaces, café, restaurant, casino (which disappears from Rincón de Pepe today and instead will be occupied by a gym with spa) and room for banquets and celebrations.

Plants 4 and 5 of the old post office building will house suites and roof of the building will install a swimming pool with solarium.

The full City Council finally approved the project and then the promoters must apply for permission.

The project will involve an investment of 20 million euros and could be completed in 2010.
