The Department of Youth and Employment of the City of Murcia has organized for tomorrow, Saturday 11 October, a meeting on youth training, immigration and participation to be held from 9:30 to 14 pm in the Youth Center La Nave (Bacons Bridge).
In the meeting participate fifty persons in charge of organizing activities for young people with the aim of promoting social inclusion, coexistence and participation of young immigrants in social, political, economic and cultural development of the municipality and the prevention of behavior discriminatory, racist and xenophobic attitudes through awareness programs.
This activity is the first of a social action project to prevent discriminatory conduct that is intended primarily for young people between 12 and 24, although the activities carried out (research, advocacy, education, entertainment and leisure, sports and intercultural activities) may be aimed at people between 8 and 35.
The Youth Council provides for the participation of 7,000 young people, with at least 30% immigrants.
