The NGO Action Blue, composed of local police de Murcia, has delivered to City Council symbolic keys to a hospital and a boarding school built in the village Hassi lips, in the Moroccan Sahara.
The construction of the hospital, which is located in the rural community of Taouz and called Murcia City Hospital, began in 2006 to provide health coverage to a population comprised mainly of nomadic families have settled in small villages and that they had no health infrastructure.
The hospital, which opened in June as a boarding school, has a total area of 600 square meters that houses a theater, a hospital ward, two general medical clinics, an ophthalmology and optics, a dental office , a treatment room, a gynecology and pediatrics, two waiting rooms, administration room, ambulance garage, a warehouse and four toilets.
Has been built and equipped close to 100% for the cooperation of Murcia, financed also by the city of Murcia and other companies in the municipality.
For its part, internship, also called "Ciudad de Murcia ', aims to provide schooling for children of nomadic families and plight of the rural community of Taouz.
These children may live in the hostel for the school year, attend college and return to their families during the holidays.
The center also developed several educational programs to children, young and mainly to adult literacy, especially women.
