University will practice at local senior centers (01/10/2008)

University students in professional master on Aging will practice in municipal elderly.

The City and the University of Murcia signed an agreement to offer internships to students.

The City has an extensive social services network that includes 76 centers and 3 Senior Day Care centers.

This agreement aims to train professionals in aging healthy so they can apply their knowledge in caring for this population.

These practices will lead to students any employment relationship with the city of Murcia.

UMU professors supervise students' practice.

Spain is the 7 th oldest country in the world.

In the municipality of Murcia 17% of the population is over 65 years, of which 12,000 have already served 80 years.
