The Rugby Club Murcia University celebrates the beginning of the 2008/2009 season with a spectacular performance of different teams with their team on October 3, from 18 pm in La Condomina.
The Councillor for Sports, Miguel Cascales, stressed the importance of sport in which team play is essential and encourages young people to approach the presentation will be held on Oct. 3 to learn more about this discipline.
Cascales, who has been a rugby player, recalled that the City Council is also committed to unique sports like rugby and that the City Council aims for women to approach the sport.
The university team was born in 1980 and now comprising more than 300 people who play rugby teams in Senior A, Senior B UCAM, Women, Youth and Veterans.
In addition, they have a rugby school in which 80 children from 7 years learn this exciting sport.
The Senior A team played in First Division Club National Club and the illusion is to reach the Division of Honour.
The teams train at the stadium Monteromero Espinardo Campus and Stadium of Condomina.
Games are held during weekends at the stadium in La Condomina and admission is free.
The Rugby Club Universitario de Murcia has the support of the Department of Sports City of Murcia, which receives grants totaling more than 50% of the Club, the General Directorate of Sports in the region and the UCAM.
