From next Monday until September 30 Murcia youth born between 1978 and 1992 may submit their sketches to decorate with graffiti thirty electrical transformer stations Iberdrola, located in the Eixample district north of the city.
The intention with this project the Department of Youth and Employment and the Urban Environment and Quality, in collaboration with Urbamusa and Iberdrola, is to embellish these electrical installations and integrated into the environment.
The theme of the sketch will have to do with monuments, public spaces, gardens, places of tourist interest, that the author or group freely choose from the list of items proposed in the contest and they are as follows:
1.
Cathedral, monuments and landmarks of Murcia.
2.
Botanical Garden Pier and main gardens of Murcia.
3.
Plaza de las Flores, Santa Catalina, San Bartolomé and the like.
4.
Cristo de Monteagudo.
5.
Segura River and / or bridges.
6.
Hydraulic systems of vegetable gardens and orchards and natural areas of interest of the municipality.
7.
Anthropology in the garden of Murcia.
8.
Popular festivals and customs typical of Murcia.
9.
Celebrities and historic city of Murcia.
10.
Topics related to Environment and Sustainable Development.
As one group or participant may submit only a sketch for each transformer center, and can be eligible for all that they deem appropriate.
In the sketches of each of the works proposed must indicate title, technique and materials to be used for implementation in the street.
The jury composed of representatives of the City of Murcia, Urbamusa and Iberdrola Distribución Eléctrica SAU, and will have their evaluations, among others, the criteria of creativity, artistic quality, materials used and consistent with the public space of the installation.
Selected works will be rewarded with the amount of 600 € which will be effective for Urbamusa, once produced the play in the street in accordance to the sketch winner, with the materials provided and the supervision and acceptance of the municipal Parks and Gardens .
