The Casas del Gallego area of El Palmar have new wider sidewalks so that residents can move with more confidence.
The Department of Infrastructure and Community Services City of Murcia, directed by José Arce, launches a neighborhood improvement project that involves the renovation of sidewalks in the streets Juan Bernal Aroca (east side), dinner, Huerta, Acequia, Parranda, the pussy, Amancio, San Francisco and Santa Ana
In those places where street width permits the sidewalks will be extended two feet from the current 0.90 meters to 1.5 meters.
This initiative aims to facilitate the transition to the disabled who are in wheelchairs and baby strollers, improving the quality of life for residents of the area.
The sidewalks are cobblestone color of precast cement mortar and concrete base.
The deadline for execution of work will be 4 months and the planned investment of 125,000 euros.
Work will begin shortly.
This neighborhood is located next to the crossing of the Mazarron road MU-300 and Calle Altamira.
