The University of Murcia reward the brightest students to join it next year with a study aid that are sponsored by Caja Mediterráneo.
The Vice Chancellor of University Extension, Francisco Guillermo Diaz told the presentation ceremony, held at the headquarters of the Chancellor, that the aid was summoned in two forms, one of which is for students with better academic records are incorporated into this educational institution, each of whom will receive a thousand euros.
The second form is intended for new students who have obtained the first prizes in some contests and Olympics, as the Mathematical Olympiad or Physics or Chemistry, and whose scholarship will consist of the tuition of the first academic year.
Diaz added that in the first case, applicants will not need to submit any request as simply the completion of enrollment, while those who aspire to win support for any of the contests or Olympics should submit the application in official records of the University within the registration period.
Angel Martinez, president of box territorial Mediterranean entity sponsoring this aid is allocated a total of 34,500 euros, said "we stand with the University on projects as interesting and deserving of this collaboration as it has today."
For its part, the rector, José Antonio Cobacho, praised the "sensitivity" of Martinez to what he called "flagship project" and added that the aid "are more important even when taking into account the recipients are students, because d'être of the university. "
The presentation ceremony was also attended by the Vice Rector of Students, Maribel Sanchez-Mora, and Professor of Mathematics José Asensio.
