About 200 disabled people will benefit this year of the aid granted by the City of Murcia bonotaxi taxi transport.
A total of 195 people have requested this action in the call for 2008, of which have already been assessed and awarded in a first phase, 157.
Bonotaxi service aims to provide support to facilitate the movement of people, suffering from a physical disability, have great mobility problems to use public transport.
Through this annual grant, the Department of Social Welfare, Gender Equality Policies and Citizenship aims to improve the social integration of the disabled, enabling them to enjoy equal opportunities as other citizens in all areas of daily life in the workplace , training and vocational training, rehabilitation care and leisure activities and leisure, among others.
The aid approved so far add up the total amount of 86,350 euros.
The remaining applications will be resolved in a second phase, once the applicants have submitted all required documentation for the assessment of the files.
