Villagers Labiad Hassi, in the Moroccan Sahara, and have a hospital thanks to a cooperation project launched by Blue in Action, an NGO consisting of local police Murcia.
The construction of the center, which is located in the rural community of Taouz and called Murcia City Hospital, began in 2006 to provide health coverage to a population comprised mainly of nomadic families have settled in small villages and that they had no health infrastructure.
The hospital, which has been opened, has a total area of 600 square meters that houses a theater, a hospital ward, two general medical clinics, an ophthalmology and optics, a dental office, a treatment room , a gynecology and pediatrics, two waiting rooms, administration room, ambulance garage, a warehouse and four toilets.
Has been built and equipped close to 100% for the cooperation of Murcia, financed also by the city of Murcia and other companies in the municipality.
The inauguration was also attended by a delegation of Blue in Action, the delegate of the Ministry of Health of Morocco, the governor of the province, the president of the Rural Community Taouz and the mayors of the towns that make up that community.
