Next December 31, 2008 expires on contract with the company Tribugest, Tax Management, Inc. for providing this service and subsisting under the same circumstances that gave reason to the previous contracts of service, has begun to process timely Recruitment for the next four years, with possibility of extension for another two years, as foreseen in the new Law on Public Sector Contracts.

The Governing Board of the City of Murcia has this morning approved the specification for carrying out the procurement of this service.

Services that come to recruitment are the same that were already contracting, ie, tax management, cadastral management, fund raising and volunteer executive of taxes, public fees, penalties, and other municipal revenues.

The contract objectives are:

Facilitate taxpayer compliance with tax obligations, minimizing the inconvenience that these obligations may result in reducing the time required to do so through the extension of the channels of communication between the taxpayer and the Municipal Tax Agency and looking for the immediacy of response.

Levels to maximize collection of taxes and other benefits of public law included in the contract, reducing the existence of possible frauds, improving the quantity and quality of information necessary for the purpose mentioned.

Minimize the cost that the functions contained in the contract is for the city administration.

To evaluate the bids will be considered in addition to economic criteria, the submission of a technical project concrete goals and deadlines, and the adaptation of the work plan to the particular circumstances of the municipality of Murcia, with special attention to the use of recent and advanced technological methods in computer science or information technology, aimed at avoiding the traditional manual archiving functions and use of alternative digital document archives, as well as the implementation of telematics platforms relationship with the taxpayer.

The contract is 5,319,190 per year, plus VAT, which, if extended to six years of the contract possible, would be about thirty-two million euros, plus VAT, in total and tenderers must submit proposals to the floor.

Once published the notice of recruitment in the Official Journal of the European Union will open a deadline for submission of tenders to end on 25 September, with the interest of the City Council of Murcia provisional award is made before the month of November, to come into force next January 1, 2009.
